What does BabyBlooInk mean?

A lot of people have been asking me what my screen names on various sites (such as this one) means. Babyblooink. I've actually had this name for a long time. No, it's not a nickname but it is a name I made up quite some time ago.

WAY back when the Jonas Brothers self titled album came out (a while back. I remember talking about the album as I was making up the name) I was still really interested in making it in the entertainment business. My mom and I had discussed the major topics but then a copyright company came into play. Where was I going to Copyright all of my songs? We decided that we were going to make my own but first, we had to come up with a name.

Baby Blue is my favorite color. Inc stands for Incorporation. Babyblooink is a way of saying BabyBlueInc. just in my own way. It looks a lot more creative than spelling it all right. After I came up with the name, it stuck with me. I've been using it ever since... that is what BabyBlooInk means!

VOCAL NODULES?? Uuuuh ooohhh...

Hey everyone! I finally got a blog that you can come back to! This will be the place where I document the cool and sometimes random moments in my life. I will also be posting the ups and the downs. For instance...

I know a lot of you are wondering why I don't have any music up on my fan page. This is the place where you will learn why. Right now I'm going through a tough time vocally. My voice has been acting up for the passed few weeks and last Monday (a week from tomorrow) I went to the ENT (ear, nose, and throat doctor) to see what the problem was. They made a really cool video recording of my vocal cords.

He diagnosed me with both Muscle Tension Disphonia (MTD) and PRE nodules (not actual nodules, my case is very mild). MTD is when you throat is basically really tense and is swollen. PRE nodules are little bumps on your vocal chords that can effect your singing voice (you can look both of these cases up on google to learn more about them).

Luckily, both can be cured simply by going to vocal therapy for a few weeks (and not talking or singing as much). I got them because I wasn't singing or talking in the right technique. I was switched over (unwillingly) to a singing technique that was very confusing and ended up straining my vocal chords. Because of the Dr's diagnosis and his suggestion, I am switching BACK to my old vocal technique (first voice lesson is Wednesday! I'm excited!) and hopefully, my voice will go back to normal (which means I can start recording again!).

I'm not going to lie, when my Doctor told me what was going on, I was pretty scared. I didn't want to lose my voice. I didn't want to start my life all over again. Thankfully, it isn't a bad case and can actually be cured without surgery. I will be posting music as soon as possible but for now, I need to focus on getting well! I'm sure you all understand!

Thank you everyone for the support and keep coming back to this blog for more updates!
